Lodge Enamel brings together the Lodge 108 year history of making cast iron cookware with the fine art of enameling. The vivid colors of patriot red, liberty blue, and apple green call attention to the stainless steel handles and accents. Each Lodge Enamel piece is individually hand crafted and coated with several layers of strong, chip-resistant, enamel, imported from France. The enamel coating eliminates the need to "season" the cast iron, and creates a non-reactive surface that can be used for all types of cooking, as well as marinating, refrigerating, or freezing. Lodge Enamel can be used on electric, gas, ceramic hobs, and induction cooktops on low to medium temperatures, as well as in gas, electric, or convection ovens below 500 degrees F.
